It's been a very busy couple of weeks since I got back in the game. Been doing some leveling.
RNG84, MNK80, BLM76, DRK76, BRD75, BLM75.

I hope to get all of these jobs to 85 soon.
The new parties in Abyssea are very good. People take whole alliances, there is no exp penalty. There are no more exp chains. As long as you keep killing the same mob the amount of exp goes up and up. It caps out around 600+exp/kill, so its very easy to level and merit these days.
Good job SE on that.

Now for events.
The new gear is out of this world. It's super awesome, there is not much more to be said about it.
Oh yeah, it doesn't take camping in some dumbass room(h2u DA) for years and years to get(FU Ridill)

I been loving ranger since I got back in the game. Very fun job. Especially now, RNG is a really good DD.

For someone to come back to the game, its natural to ask questions right?

I took a break from game for a while and not blogging for even a longer time.
I herd about the new abyssea stuff and it got me back into the game. Level 85 is pretty wild, I can only imagine how level 99 will be.

First things first, got all the Limit break quests done. Gogo giant stars smashing on my head and raising my level cap to 85!

Blue Pearl

The past few months have been a total change of focus and direction for me. I joined Kaizen. My previous shell, Angel Knight, I was with them for a whole year. I didn't have any problems with them or any drama or any issues like that except for the fact that we only camped on weekends and mainly did Fafnir. That was ok in the beginning I guess, but I started to want to camp more. Then many of my English friends from AK moved on to Kaizen so I felt a little 'all by myself.' I had no problems with the Japanese people in the shell. I've made some great friends there.

I've always had this mind set not to join some of the mainstream Japanese linkshells like HNMPT(Happy Angel), JDA, intergials, etc. because of all the crap and abuse they gave to NA players when they started the HNM scene. Even though these days they are more open and fair to their NA players, but I still think that some of them have a superior mentality. Even today in some JP shells NA players start out with less points than JP players and often get skipped over gear. So I made it a point to myself not to join those shells. As a NA player why should I directly support them when inside they don't have don't care or respect the NA base of players. NAs have done great things, invented new ways of fighting mobs(that Tiamat strategy that everyone uses on all servers? Yeah that was invented by a NA and from our server as a matter of fact). NAs can be just as competitive and successful if not more than Japanese linkshells.

Having said that I never experienced that type of behavior in Angel Knight and for that I truly respect that shell and especially their leader Pharanx. I never seen any unfair distribution of gil or gear or any bad comments made by members. Angel Knight was a great linkshell for me and I will always be thankful to them for giving me experience in the HNM scene. We always had a blast at camps. I cannot sing the praises of Pharanx enough. This is the kind of guy who would get TODs every week for us so we could camp on the weekends. In my one year of being in the shell I never saw him miss a single tod. Even after he got his Ebody and Ridill that motivation never decreased. I truly respect you my friend and I wish you guys all the best and I hope you get all your desired items. Call me anytime you guys need help. I will always be a Angel Knight at heart.

In Kaizen we're always doing something. Even though I think we're a little more layed back than some of the other HNM shells there is always some fuel to keep the flame burning. Before I get into the events and pictures that I've done in the past few months I just want to say thanks to all of my good friends. Without your support I don't I could ever make it this far. I am truly grateful.

Another thing I want to say is that now that I am in Kaizen my blog may be similar to Neophytal's blog in terms of events, but we all know that Songs of Vanadiel is a much better blog. Neo gets a staff skill up .3 and goes ZOMG TIME TO GO BLOG THAT!!!11, lol. We have a different writing style so the readers will get a different point of view. We have a blast all the time in everything we do. He has always been a good inspiration and a great friend.

Ok now that all of the icky stuff is out of the way. Let's jump right in to the jucy events, the real reason you're reading this, lol.

Kings and other HNMs.

My last official Fafnir kill with Angel Knight. Congrats to Sue on the E hands.

Ok on to Kaizen. This next kill was very noticeable. It was a weekday morning camp. We didn't have many players. I ran up Thuron to help kill it. We took out about 70-80% of Fafnir's HP with the primary damage coming from a RNG, WAR, and 1 BLM. Towards the end another another blm come in. I think we killed it in 40-50mins. In total there were about 10-11 people and I was dual boxing Zethren on brd and Thuron on Ranger. Overall a very exciting fight and it kept me on my toes. I'm sorry Thuron my friend I couldn't get you the title. My laptop crapped out and DCed Thuron at like 1-2% HP. Thank you Thuron for letting me use your char, it was much appreciated.

We finally got a Ridill after what seemed like forever.

This next Nidhogg I came so close to claiming, but Bajaratt outclaimed me. We had like 25-30 people at that camp so I was in a outside party. SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM And BAM we get it. I immediately Pop ES and Manafront for a guaranteed non interrupted sleep.

That Nid gave us a N legs which went to our bad boy THF, Cipriani.

Unable to cure myself because I was BLM/WAR I lay dead here :(

Kaizen loves turtles

Some Aspid action. Aspid is the most easiest of all the kings to fight. He is really a joke, but the problem lies with the adds that can really gang up on you. Most linkshells don't wipe to Aspid itself, but they can get overwhelmed by adds.

Our very own Yagudo went green and also we had another aspid fight which resulted in M. Feet which went to Arcien. Congrats

We haven't got many Tiamat, Khims in the past couple of months, but we've been killing Cerberus on a regular basis. Cerberus is pretty easy to fight. He may look big, but he is rather weak. There is only one big move that a linkshell needs to worry about that is "Gates of Hades", a very powerful AOE attack which also leaves a very strong 'Burn' DOT effect. If not properly stunned a couple of Gates back to back can really mess you up. If you can properly stun that then you've won 98% of the fight already.

We've had a few algols drop. Hailie and Bahamnut both got one. Last but not least The Tree man also got his. His main mission right now is to walk around on his PLD with Algol equipped and make DRKs cry. Bad Tree :|

Behemoth

No KB kills. We got a couple of NQs and that was about it. Its not given that much priority unless KB has a high chance of popping so usually the newer HNM linkshells snag the claims.

Bahamnut v2

Bahamnut v2 fight is one of my favorites events. Not only does it have some nice drops, but it is probably the best money maker group event. A run consisting of like 5 orbs can put like 1m in every one's pocket. Drops take a while to sell, but money is money :D

This was my first time doing this fight so I was really excited.

During the fight he summons all of the wyrms. They have low HP. A blm team can knock em out fast, but sometimes things like Vrtra's sleep(not a problem if you have poisons) and charm can be annoying.

oh wait there is one more story. One day a WAR and a DRK were skilling up in the tree, trying to get their Great Axe lvls up. They noticed that Nidhogg window was in progress, but since the linkshell wasn't camping they decided to keep on skilling. The last window was coming up and the yo-yos decided to head up and get the tod.

They were standing on the ledge, everyone was buffing and one of them said "Hey Lets see if we can claim it for shits and gigles." The hume had devil horns on his head and thought that if he claimed he would run Faf or Nid up the tunnel to either the 'Tree' zone or the Malboro room. Resulting is lots of confusion and fun.

Nidhogg pops right in front of the ledge and the lucky bastards got it.

The plan of running it up the tunnel quickly backfired when Nidhogg used Draw in.

People where like what the hell is going on. It was such as blast. I think if we weren't laughing so hard maybe we could have tried to team up with someone or something like that.

Good 'ol Limbus

I love limbus. Short time spent, big rewards. Here's our recent omega/ultima kills. Note the event amount of kills. We don't simply Spam Omega like many shells, we try to keep a good balance.

Sea

We do Sea farming on a regular basis and usually have good luck with the IX mobs. Many people have gotten capes and its good experience points waiting for the Ix'drg to pop. Many people have gotten their sea capes. I can't remember everyone, but Trumpeter, Metix, Sirestiva, and many others. Congrats to them.

Jailer of Temperance is such a big headache to pop. Anyone who does sea will relate to this dumb pot.

We've been doing JOL fights on a regular basis as wekk. We've gotten a few Novios and Love Torques. People like Bowlingbum, Meastoso, Crosis and others all enjoy their new found MAB. Arcien on the latest Love Torque. Our current kill time for JOL is under an hour. Which is pretty good. Hopefully we'll be able to bring it down more in the future.

Still no luck on AV. I don't think anyone even attempts him anymore.

Sky

Many people think that Kaizen doesn't do Sky anymore. That is most untrue. We farm sky every week. You normally don't see us up there because we don't farm during prime time hours. Sky, as easy as it is, is still important and has some nice gear. People are always leveling new jobs and need god gear or other abjs that are only dropped by gods.

Straight tanking and meleeing MG. Probably easier to just nuke it, but this was fun to do.

Hi Sieryu (/°O°)/

Hanging out with the Sky Boss. Recently Rhad has taken over leading Sky. Usually Courtney does this, but lately he's been busy. Rhad has been doing a great job.

Yay, A. head for me.

Melee burn Kirins are very fun. That's pretty much all we do for our Kirin kills. Special congrats to Cipriani on HQ N Body. Trelution somehow pressed the JP button and made a HQ harness.

Salvage

Salvage is a big part of our linkshell. We do it many times a week. I find it annoying sometimes. Someone needs to make a "pass items" plug-in already. Salavage is just 'cry moar' drop rates for some lv35 pieces, but the gear is very good ands thats what keeps people going.

Dynamis

There is a thread on qcdn regarding dynamis losing steam. I think Dynamis is better and worse than a few years ago. Some of the better things include many shells that run at different schedule. It is a lot more flexible now, we have EST dynamis PST dynamis, Monday to Sunday, everyday ther eis a shell running. So you're not SOL if you can't play on some days. These days most shells farm very well, so there is a lot more gear that is obtained by members and more coins for upgraders.

Some of the things that I find annoying or maybe a little unconvinent is the long hours spent there. Dynamis is no secret now and my shell and I'm sure other shells to get all the of the extentions. Spending hours and hours that can get annoying and tiring. Also ofcourse many shells doing dynamis means many people fighting for times and members.

Anyway we've been doing Northlands non stop. It has great gear and we win DL pretty much every time we attempt him.

Assault: Nyzul Isle.

We got up to 20th floor and we've been farming that. Our first Boss kill got us Askar boots which went to Orestes. We've had problems with lamps, but after trial and error we've been able to figure them out. Also a big thank you to Phraust for his tips :D

Thuron's 1st lv75 job, but oh wait...

Very special moment for my buddy Thuron who finally hit 75. He's been playing since the start of the game(He can be lazy sometimes). We got to 75...

Then had some bad luck and died for stupid reasons lol(he woke up my slept mob and I busted his shadowbind)

Sure enough he was back to 75. Congrats big guy. We've had some great times and I hope to continue that.

Neo and I have been lvlign SAMs, but its come to a dead end recently as he doesn't have Rones PLing us anymore :( Fun times, buddy, fun times.

Xolololol.

We've killed this guy so many times now, but still no P harpe for Sirestiva :( You'll get it one day buddy. Congrats to those who got Bandos.

Zethren's Funnies

I should just rename this section to Demir pwnage. We have another incident of Demir getting his guts ripped out. It's always fun to watch him die.

Missions

I finally finished up all of the Bastok Missions and got Rank 10. Big thanks to Celendel and everyone else that helped me complete them. I must admit Bastok story line isn't really that interesting. Nothing interesting about Emo Garkas...

By the way if you aren't Rank 10 yet I really suggest you finish up the missions, if not for the story line, at least for the gil. Rank 8 Gives you 60k, Rank 9 80k and rank 10 100k. That's a nice amount of gil this day and age.

TOAU missions and Assaults are pretty fun. I really enjoy them.

Assault has been great to me. I enjoy a very nice Static with Roadkill and Zyn and we're currently up to Chief Sergeant Rank. Just one more Rank mission to go until Second Lt.

I want to share this interesting assault rank up I did(I forget which one it was), basically you whip some newbs into shape by leading them through a bunch of exercises. Here you can see a bunch of wimp ass humes who's worlds come to an end after 10 sit ups.

This rank up is fun, but can get annoying quickly if you can't seem to win the games quickly(which I was my case).

Helped out Neo on the Shields of Diplomacy Mission. We were going to trio it, but the moron forgot that his other Character, Rones(WHM) wasn't up the same mission, therefore couldn't enter the BC. I wound up supporting him on my Bard and we did great. He is a badass monk.

After that I kinda got lazy with the missions. I'm suppose to go to the A. Subterrain for some CS, but haven't got around to doing that yet.

Alexxia's Sky

Alexxia and Demir started a new sky linkshell between friends. It didn't work out that great as we couldn't get people to commit and come to events. We did some farming and popped one god. I was hoping we would get more done, but that simply wasn't the case.

Good for skill ups, hehe.

We did one Genbu, which was pretty fun as we killed it with 4-5 people. Grats to Demir on A hands. I think we still have a Sieryu and another Genbu pop set left, hopefully we can pop those sometime.

Demir's brother and my good friend, Maku finally got his Dune boots. Grats buddy.

I picked up a Sorc. Coat in Dynamis. Later on I also got the feet. I can't wait to obtain the legs and the hands, more importantly legs.

Limbus Action

My Limbus linkshell, UU is great. We work hard and pop many Omegas and Ultimas and very rarely loose. Recently we've had great luck on Homam leg drops. Necrosis, Anderloc, Ardenbruk, Myself and Azafarht have all obtained them. They've been dropping pretty much non stop.

Anderloc always joked around about not wanting legs. "I don't care about legs, I want the Homam head" he would say. The LS chat touches on that, hehe.

And it finally happened for me as well. 4/5 Homam now. It is really funny the state of the linkshell right now. We have like 4-5 people now who are 4/5 Homam and they are all missing the head.

We try to do a balance of Ultima and Omega. We're not one of those shells who just spam Omega. I've just been lacking on some of the Ultima pictures, but we've been having good success on that as well. Congrats to everybody and a big thank you as well.

Funnies

I did a few KS30 runs with a few of my friends. We did the Copycat one and Alexxia and I decided to have some fun when Demir got charmed.

You know Demir doesn't let things go unanswered. He later returned the favor.

Duuragon

First up is Angel Knight Faf claim. These are rare for us so when they happen everyone is excited.

Kitty Panties

My good friend Makunouchi and I've been doing some sky farming (along with some of our friends) for Haidate items. We managed to get one and a half set.

We had tons of fun getting to Byakko's island. Noobs all of us, lol. Aggro after aggro after aggro.

Big congrats to Maku on the pants. Thank you all for coming out to help with the fight. I won lots on Byakko's Axe and D. legs, thanks everyone!

Za'Dah Adamantking

I camped this NM for a whole week and finally got the chance to fight it. He really doesn't have great drops anymore(ever since Raise3 went ->5kg) except maybe for a D cloth and this ultra rare club.

The fight is easy but the pull can be a little difficuilt as there are 2 other NMs right near him. So you can zone all of the regular mob links, but the other NMs will still remain. Those that are farmilar with the Qulun Dome area will know that you have to drop off the ledge to zone out. People started to show up so I made the pull without any support and it went pretty well.

Long long fight. He has like 20k HP and uses Bene.

Crappy drops.

But pretty cool title :)

Little messier than usual, but always a fun fight.

New Dynamis Linkshell

I joined Limitless Dynamis a couple of months back. This shell is great. We kill DL on a regular basis and farm very well. I'll be making a lot more dynamis updates in the up coming posts.

Limitless is so lucky with RDM hats its not even funny. We had so many drop one night and one went free lot.

We also did a very sucessful Dynamis Qufim run.

Doggy Needed a Walk!

We did a few KS99s last night. It was very fun. Drops were pretty good. I'd say everyone that popped walked out with atleast 2m and some other lucky lotters who did not pop walked out with some nice items.

Angels Love Dragons

The past few weeks have been great for us. We've had some good success in the Arey. The first claim was not by us, but by our good friends "NobleKnights" Linkshell. They were a bit short on people so we gave them our BLM team to help kill the beast.

It always seems like they are short on BLMs. In reality I don't think they use that many BLMs at all, but still they do good when they have a decent amount of people at camp.

Our turn to go at it. Our Fafnir claim yielded a nice double abj. drop.

Congratulations to Bramd on the A. Hands and Hosenka on the A. feet.

Much to my surprise we scored a Nidhogg that same week as well. We were very happy.

Well deserved E.Body went to our fearless leader, Pharanx. Congratulations my friend. With all the hard work and dedication you put in the shell I can't think of even 1 reason why would don't deserve to have this. Pharanx is our pimp Ridill/ebody war now! Oh and grats to Zanjibar on the bread.

Back to Dynamis

I've made my return to Dynamis this past month with Limitless. I've been enjoying it very much. The professionalism of the shell is really high. So far I've done two Dyna-Xarc. with them and both have yielded Dynamis Lord wins.

Congratulations to Silfer on the first Shadow Mantle and Kisada on the second one.

Omega Fun

Finally some Limbus action. Another Omega downed by UU. After a long time Homam legs finally dropped.

I got the Homam hands. That puts me 3/5 on Homam, missing just the head and legs. Head shouldn't be a problem, but the legs are going to take a lot of points to acquire in the future. ;/

Congratulations to Necrosis on the Homam legs and that's is my good buddy Sneakypants next to us wishing his fellow THFs all the best. I hope he gets his Homam feet soon.

That's it for now. Oh yeah I got BLM75 the other day. That brings me to 75:BRD,THF,BLM, and WAR. I don't think I will be leveling any other job to 75 anytime soon. I need to finish up merits for all these jobs and pimp them out first.

AngelKnight finally got Fafnir a couple of weeks back. Seems with about 10-12 people we get 1 claim every 2 months or so. Pretty stinky, but what can you do? People like me don't show up to camps enough... Haha...Just Kidding. :D

My buddy Meija from AngelKnight has been doing the Pirate Chart BC for as long as I can remember. Every bloody week, "Zethren, Pirate Chart?" "Zethren, Wanna do Pirate Chart?" Well he finally got his M. Kris. No the BC didn't drop it, he bought it lololol. Enjoy it for the first few weeks before you finally come to your senses and sell it back, XD

Zethren's Funnies!

It's been a while since I updated this section of Funnies. Lately I haven't had much to really put on for this section, but I have a few that you'll enjoy.

First off is my good buddy Rhadamanthus(aka Rhadafux aka Rhaddy aka Rabao, etc.). He's is the one who first brought me in AngelKnight Last year in June. These are some of his last words 'encouragement' in AngelKnight of before joining another LS.

Battle of the soloers

I was soloing on RDM the other day when this JP guy, Batyo came and killed my Pet while I was resting. Now its yellow and its all fair game amirite? Anyone can take, ja? But I don't know whats wrong with people these days. Not a even a small amount of respect for the other player who is soloing and was there before you.

Anyway I confront him and try to explain to him that I was there first and the guy sleeps the Goblin(BST) and just keeps it slept or bound. He does this for a few mins. Doom on Zethren. I have blood in my eyes and think of ways I can get back at this guy. I /c him and see that he's in the same LS that a good friend of mine is in.

Little horns start to grow from my head...Excellent. All I had to do was mention my buddy, Kinugawa's name and within 3 seconds he said sorry warped away. The funny part(finally hehe) is that after that he sent me sooo many tells saying how sorry he was. I bet he only said it because I know Knugawa hehe...Too bad I didn't save all the other tells.

Limbus Action

I lost track of how many Omegas and Ultimas that UU has done, but we've been successful on all out latest ones. Still no Hot pants for Elvaankitty (unless they dropped last Sunday, missed that one).

One of the best THF I know, Sneakypants finally got his Homam Body.

And some misc Ultima drops. Congratulations to everybody.

This month we have 2 Omegas and 2 Ultimas. Hopefully I'll get something.

Ungimping me Softly

I've been getting many tells from friends to update. I'm sorry for the lack of updates. They say old habits die hard. I'm a big procrastinator ever since the beginning of my time. I'll do my best to update more frequently in the future. This update is all about some nice items and accomplishments that I've made during the last month or so.

I'll start off with this picture which some will enjoy more than others. You know who you are, haha.Two great Feet pieces for the THF job, Homam and N. Feet. This puts me at 2/5 on N gear. Since I've started to do sky again with Valiance(which has now merged with Penance) I hope to go 4/5 on Neptune in the upcoming months.

Got Apocalypse Nigh done with some great people. Props to Firebrand for his organization of the run. It was a fun fight, I kited Kam'lanaut around while everyone else took care of the little guy.

I still haven't decided on which earring I want. More or so leaning on Static for my BLM.

Every Thief has one sub hand dagger dream, that is The Sirocco Kukri. The NM (Kreutzet) which drops it is a real pain. He's on a 9-12hour spawn and will only pop when there is Wind weather. I happened to get the TOD on the way to Aspid. camp and asked some of my good friends to help me. We were there for about 5 hrs before he popped.

First kill:- No drop. :(

Second kill was with Angel Knight. We were at aspid camp.

A big thank you to my good buddies Makunouchi, Hyre, Whitelighter and their 2nd Chars Vil and Kiaiho that came out to help me. A Big thanks to everyone and Angel Knight for coming to help me kill it during Aspid window. Good thing only Adamantoise popped, hehehe.

Lastly some Bard action. Managed to win lot on 2nd AF+1 item for bard. I got the most sexy BRD pants you can have(unless you going MP build). These rock.

Unbelievable Warrior Static PT.

Very hard to believe that I am 75 WAR now. A few friends of mine made a static exp PT to level up as fast as we possibly could. I went from like lv38-40 to 75 in a matter of 1.5 months. With about 2-3 hrs of exp a few nights a week. Not even full 7 days. It was great. My good friends Rhadamanthus,Demir, Metix, Genji, Amiboshi and their healing 2x(sometimes 3) boxing chars all made it possible. Thanks everyone. I Made a little timeline from start to end. Enjoy!

Falling Through the Cracks

My buddy Vereseko has been looking for this NM for a very long time. He tried many theories on how to make it pop, but all of them failed. Today that uber sexy Ranger Lexxi was with him and called out to the NM, "y0 sucka, pop NOW" and...

Way to go Lexxi, that was Bad Ass. Only problem was that that Fat Galka Wulfgar(2nd. NIN) got stuck in the cracks and in the middle of the fight Vereseko got caught with his pants down(i.e. no Shadows) and took a Mandibular Bite(A hard hitting TP move) and went down. Lexxie and Eddie held him off for a bit, Eddie was running around like a chicken without a head, lol.

I popped my evasion gear set and I don't think he even hit me more than once.

A Big Big Congratulations to the man of the hour, Vereseko. And an even bigger thanks to Lexxi for showing us where it bugger actually pops. Also a huge thanks to everyone else that came out.

Salvage #2

We did the Mt. Zy. one yesterday with 5-6 people. Reason I say 5-6 is that during the middle one of our members died and HPed by mistake. We got to the Boss, but got owned hard. We really need to get more people. If you are interested in doing Salvage check out THIS thread on qcdn.

The group is composed of a good bunch of talented folks(except for a couple of noobs like me, but hey every shell has a couple of those.). Stouter really knows what he's doing and his planning is superb. So its not a just go in and kill anything type of group. Once we get a few more people we'll get some Armor drops. I am sure of it.

SALVAGE #1

I joined my good friend Lucylittle in a new salvage group that he made. We tried our first run last week. I'm sure everyone has herd of all the cool new Salvage gear. It will take a lot of time to obtain them. We didn't win or get close to it, but we did still did good. It is only will practice and experience we'll get equips and take down bosses with ease and a lot of people.

You start out in Salvage not with just your bare fists. You cannot use Any skills, magic, weapons, armor, sj, etc. The monsters drop "cells" which open up a equipment or ability slot(i.e magic).

Come on, Araelus put up your dukes. I couldn't do anything in the beginning so decided to have a little fun hehe.

I brought my trusty Heatsnatcher along with me. Once I unlocked my weapon(got weapon before magic) I added my share of the damage. I was doing some nice damage too. Many critical hits.

Can't wait for this Sunday's Salvage. Hopefully we can get some armor items to drop.

Ultima #1

My first Ultima with UlimaUndressers(UU) was great. Ultima is much harder than Omega. He puts up these shields, magic and physical which block the corresponding attacks.

Next he has this special move called "Citadel Buster." It's an AOE BIG damage move, you pretty much die. The person who has hate is drawn in. Everyone has to clear the area otherwise they are dead.. Oh you want an example of someone being drawn in and how this thing works?

He can get pretty nasty near its end. The Final kill with yours truly ass up and face down yet again.

I can't wait to do this fight again. Drops were pretty good. 2x Hands.. .

March to the WyvrmKing!

Recently I've been preparing myself for the Bahamut v2 BC. I want to be ready for it when my Linkshell decides to do it(whenever that will be). None the less I want to get that Cool AN earring as well. I joined up with Claudhart on the Bahamut v1 run.

Bahamut v1 is very easy. He just has a couple of damaging spells, again they are not a problem.

The group I went with were a great bunch of folks. Very Talented. Our Garka was late to the fight and everyone even did the fight over for him. Great selfless action.

Next up was finishing the final Sky Mission. I tried the last mission before a couple of times, but always failed. This time I was with a good group. I made a post on qcdn for people to sign up to finish this mission, about 12 people signed up and only 5(including me) actually showed up to the fight. Whatever it was, I'm glad I had some awesome people show up and I am now good friends with them. We were short a 6th and my Boss(from Hell, lol just kidding man), Pharanx came in and helped us out. Thanks Pharanx.

Eald'narche is a pain. He has 2 forms. His first form he has this armor which you have to take out before you can hurt him. Once you take it out Eald'narche himself goes down fast.

Anyone that is going to be doing this in the future here's a tip, once you kill him in his first form the BC still goes on and it is not YOU who will engage him in his second form it him who will come to you. We thought that we'd have engage him, nah he came to us hehe... So just be prepared for that and he comes fast.

His second form is pretty dangerous, he does a lot of spells like aoe silence, sleepga, terror, etc. Most of his moves can be blocked with utusumi. Here's Dalkiel taking with the killshot.

I love the title that it gives. It's one of my favorites.

Bahamut down, Eald'narche down, next was getting ready for Apocalypse Nigh(AN). That means you have to go back to the top floor of all three promies and check the "Memory Flux" for key items

I did this with Jimm(WAR), Dalkiel(RNG), Firebrand(WHM), and myself as WAR. We got all three silvers in about 2:30hrs. Much faster than I thought it would take. I remember in the old days when COP just came out spending like 2hrs on just one promy and that was with a full party. Along the way we killed this NM, Grats Firebrand on the item. I think it was one of those Map NMs or something, whatever it was he deserved the drop.

Along the way we caught a little aggro on the top floor. Jimm and I were handling this T mob and fire caught aggro as well ahead of us. Jimm and I had taken about 90% of the mobs HP down without any outside support. At 10% Firebrand who was a little ahead of us with Dalkiel caught aggro and Jimm went to help them... With some big luck I took down like 10% of this T mobs HP. May not seem that impressive, but it was a fun fight considering the lvl and no Utusumi Ni and being at about half health myself. The funny part was that I lived with 1% of HP. Gogo HP merits, anyone who says they are worthless should think twice the next time a they see a person live with a 2 very small amount HP.

Thanks Firebrand for coming out and helping us even thought you didn't need the silvers yourself. I hope we can all get AN done quick. I have my eyes on Static Earring for my BLM. Any other suggestions?

Dynamis Booboo!

A few weeks back Invictus took it's first shot at Dynamis-Bubu. Many people say that this is the "Dynamis Bastok" of the COP Dynamis line, and I agree they are right. Bubu is really easy. You start out with no subjobs like any other COP-Dynamis. For this zone you have to look for ???. You beat a few NMs and Dragons which weaken the Boss (Each dragon takes away the Boss' corresponding 2hr.). We didn't quite get all the dragons as we wanted too, but decided to take on the Apocalyptic Beast, boss Dragon anyway.

He was not bad at all. Something we didn't know and I'd like to share: Yes, you can dispel his spikes, if you didn't know that already. My good buddy Pakomen with the killshot!

After you beat the boss you get a 60 minute ext. and mobs which drop Belts and Capes spawn. We did a little farming and got a couple of belts. First one was a BLM which went to that loot whoring baaasstard(<3), Beckham XD

Next one belt went to our favorite DRG in the shell, Maddash. That's a pretty nice belt. I bet that extra VIT can comes in handy when DRGs pull hate and stuff(hahaha :P). Grats Madd!

It was a fun night. Haven't had this much fun in dynamis in a while. Lastly, I leave you with one of those pictures you see on the Internet when people talk about Dynamis Bubu- Butt loads of Dhamel links.

Epic Fafnir

Dragon's Arey never lets a guy down. Sometimes it is boring camping for 3+ hours. Today was not one of those days. Today was one of those zomg, lolfafnir !!111one! days.

Fafnir pops very early, I think 1st or second window(I went to change jobs). Integrails gets the claim, but one of their anxious members while trying to "DISENGAGE" presses the right button and hits enter on "CALL FOR HELP." Bad luck for Integrails. I don't think it was any kind of plot by them as they had around 18-20 people when they claimed. A silly mistake...

For a little while people where like ok WTF, lol. Many started to escape, however HNMPT(now Happy Angel) decided to stick around and kill Fafnir while it was under CFH status. Pretty stinky of them if you ask me. If I can't have it no one can mentality, blows.

It started to move around a "bit."

Very quickly the smell of death infested the Arey, SPIeeeeeeeKE FLAIL.....

One of everyone's "friend" also took a beating...That felt really good seeing him go down.

It got pretty wild, Fafnir going around munching on anyone that got in his way.

Our very own Redness decided to have his fun. Damn THFs will SA anything they can get behind on...Would have been really funny if he actually turned it and it Flailed again. (Note: He's in the back, near Fafnir's tail)

Fafnir fell and dropped a Ridill in everyone's inventory since he was under Call For Help status, so everyone got the loot...(lol I wish!)
I was annoyed with HNMPT, but they made up for it at the end when they started to make fun with the leader of GenesisUnion LS, Nightmare. Calling him RMT, that was great. (Note: I'm going to try to get that screenshot translated asap)

Even though no one got Fafnir it was still a very fun event. I am really glad it popped so early would have been so pissed if this happened the last window. We'll be camping again tomorrow so I hope we get a claim. It has been a while...

Sorry for the lack of updates...There just hasn't been much going on that warrants any interest. No claims on any HNMs, no other LS events, nada, nyet, nien, zippo...
BLM leveling has slowed down a little bit, but I made some progress.

I got to lv58 and then the other day I joined a really good PT which took me to 59. On the last mob I casted Burst Magic, but during my casting the Puk put up shadows and he absorbed it, lol. That was great...

Level 59 didn't last long though, I tried this new solo area and well...

It didn't work out as I planned...I didn't have Flood so I think that was my problem...Going to try again at another time. Oh and a Special Thanks to Deloid and Tobee on helping Neo and I with our BLM hats. Congrats buddy on your hat, mines still better though, adds a secret MA.

BLU fun

I joined up with Neo and Tobee the other day to level my low level job. I bet you all read his blog and saw everything. Let me tell you something, he is full of lies and half truths. The man is faking everything, don't believe him...I will tell you excatly and truthfully what happened that night.

First of all Neo was totally blasted that night. If there was a movie made it would be called, "Neo Gone Gay." Everyone in the party had to endure his sexual harassments. From the tarutaru humps(poor Tobee) to scaring me for life to abusing helpless Rones. This guy should be put one some kind of qcdn list. That incident sure left a bad taste in my mouth.

I was kicking ass. I even got a Chain 6. I was uber DD. What's he talking about my solo being bad, pfft. He needs to get the facts straight...

I hit lv16 very fast and Neo got lv18.

I won't lie. Sure I died a "couple" of times. I mean that happens to everyone. Death is sometimes unavoidable. A little delevel here and there never hurt anyone.

...And maybe a couple more "unconfirmed" deaths. Like I said No way near the number that Neo Claims.

I Had a blast. Too bad I won't be able to join them for a while. I decided not to start on any other low level jobs until BLM is complete atleast.

Dynamis Jeuno

Invictus hit Jueno this past Wednesday. Drops were crappy as usual with us. A TH4 and a few TH3, dunno what's up.. My Buddy Thuron got his RNG hat. Grats to him.

Friends, here today gone tomorrow.

A couple of my friends in game(some RL who play) have recently "quit/taking a break." Some have come back!
I haven't seen Kensou in such a long time. Voltorb quit 1-2 months back. Ryukage recently, Hyre too and Redness doesn't really log on much anymore, sorry if I have forgot someone D: Many of the original Everlost LS guys.

We always have a lot of fun. I hope they come back soon especially during the Holiday break after finals.

On the flip side a some have come back like Doumoon and Meija.

Last but not least Neophytal has been having computer problems and hasn't been on in a while. He's been waiting for his computer parts to come in.

Funnies!

Is it just me or are players more dumber and dumber these days? I got this PT the other day with one of those "over worked" RDMs. I don't mind giving advice and helping out people with less experience and I try to do it in a nice way, but enough is enough.

We were missing a tank and after a while a ninja started to seek. Our RDM immediately got annoyed, "not him again, he's going to bitch about haste." And it continues...

Note: Usually I blur names out, but this time I won't. I'd like people to see this guy and maybe talk some sense into him if they ever talk or PT with him.

Next up we have a BLU/NIN using Sword/Club. My conversation with him when I called him out on it. People want to try new things, Fine. Sometimes I may not know all there is to know about something so I always try to keep an open mind, but this guy's logic just fails.

Super Duper Ultimate Mega BLM solo

BLM is my new favorite job now. Once I got lv50 and freeze I read up and decided to take a shot at solo. I've been spending almost all my time in Gustav Tunnel the past few days. Soloing Goblin Beastmaster's Pets.

It was a little difficult at level 50 and I'd get resists which is no problem. A simple stun and a level 1 spell took care of the leech. The main problem with not one shoting the pet was that if the Goblin did not have his back to the leech he would aggro. I think I died maybe 4-5 times getting to 51. Once I got 51 it was all smooth sailing from there with my trusty Ice Staff.

Sometimes exp PTs would come along, but not really that big of a problem. I've been raking in massive experience. I'd do like chain4-5 before they'd kill 2-3 mobs lol. About 5-8k exp/hr, depending on ring and deaths.

Much much better than the normal parties that you get around this level and not having to deal with bad players is always a plus.

I plan to solo/duo as much as possible and join parties only to really cap my skills.
Rewarding, very, very, very, rewarding!

Besieged Fun

Ever since they did the Besieged update I've come to enjoy it very much. You get these cool Besieged items like Giants drink which boosts your HP by like 800Hp or something. Same thing with MP. Plus now you get 1000exp points. SE is really doing a good job and attracting more and more people to join the defense.

I had this really fun encounter the other day with the new frog Beastmen. It has this really funny charmga which not only charms you, but turns you into a frog, lol.

The guy ran away as soon as charm wore. Bent on taking revenge, with a little flee action and I caught up to him and return the favor.

Its really funny when they fall, lol. Still, though not as funny as how Tarus drop. XD

Dynamis Valkurm Dunes
/sh Raise! Can I have it? (F-9)

With all zones booked Invictus decided to take a shot at their first COP dynamis. I don't think anyone was really prepared we just went in just for the hell of it and to do a Dynamis.

The difference between COP dynamis and regular dynamis is that there is a limit of people you can bring(36 I believe) and 18 for Dynamis Tavanzia. It also takes less time. Also you don't start out with subjobs. To unlock subjobs for Dynamis Valkurm you have to kill 3 Darters(>.<). We got our subjobs unlocked and procded to Fairy Ring(NM). There are two NMs that you have to kill to weaken the Boss. How hard could a little mushroom be? Very hard if you don't know what you are doing. He has this directional AOE which hits excatally for 1005 damage. We got owned hard!

With little time remaining we decided not to go for the Boss kill and just farm. Not really expecting any drops we got lucky and a pair of Duelist's Boots dropped.

Ofcourse my good friend Cherron lost the lot. The only way that guy ever wins any RDM AF is by default. When everyone has theirs already lol. Congratulations to Kenyan on the pair.

Come December we will go back to COP Dynamis, hopefully more prepared. I really wish to beat all the zones.

Forward The Black Mage

As you know I've been leveling Black Mage. I hit 46 last week and I stopped right there. I didn't want to level one bit until I got my Moldavite Earring. I spend the past few days in there. My first kill did not yield a drop.

Second kill I got it!

I logged for about 2 hours after that and when I came back I saw this 75ish BLM camping. Judging by his gear he looked like RMT(Edit: I later confirmed that him and his LS, TaruNation are indeed RMT). The gob pops and he claims and ofcourse links all the gobs....And just stands there...

Finally the bot's master comes back from AFK. With little HP left he tries to make a run for it lol.

He dies and I grab the mysticmaker and his buddies come along for the ride.

It is no problem. I am a Thief, I trained them away from the area and used hide to shed all hate. I reclaimed the NM, but I guess one of the gobs was still in his "area" and he did not depop.

I didn't want to waste my NPC because Neo and I were going to level our NPCs later(but the fag NEVER SHOWED). Anyway this guy can be a little tough if he gets the right spells off(i.e. -ga IIs). Without some kind of HP regen(i.e. Bloodybolts, Cure from your NPC, etc.) he can be rather hard, especially those Blaze spikes they add up to a lot of damage for THFs that can be a killer.

I did my best to control the other gob via sleep bolts, but he was a ranger and I hate ranged attacks as they eat shodws so fast. Mysticmaker got 2 big spells off on me.

I was under 100 Hp and he was at abot 10% at that point. I 2hred and I spammed Bloody bolts. Finally brought the sucker down!

Third Kill!

We finally cleared The Chains of Promathia Missions. The finally BC, let me say it is one of, if not the best BC zones that I've ever seen. It takes place "above" the world. Check it out that is Qufim Island right there.

The fight with Promathia was not hard at all. You basically let Phishe and Se'dious(sp?) guy kill it and you keep them healed and survive. Promathia's 1st form is a joke.

His second form is a bit tough because he casts meteor. You still have the NPC help. They'll do all the work. Pishe is a powerhouse!!

Zethren FULL ATTACK!

COP is a very fun and challenging story. It is not all that difficult, but it does test your basic party mechanics. You don't need killer gear or all that good stuff to beat it, just some skill and A LOT OF TIME. If you got a good bunch of people it will be cake. I want to thank my static for such a good job and also all the people of Everlost with whom I did the first 4-5 missions with over a year ago. Here are my guys.

Nidhogg Strikes again

Today Nidhogg popped 1st. window. Perseverance got the bad boy. They were a bit short on members, no refeshers or many mages, but they did great. I had to step out for a while so I didn't get to the see the fight, but they brought it down and a E. Body dropped.

Fabulous Friday Fafnir!

It has been almost 1 month now since we got Fafnir/Nidhogg claim. Today we finally did it. It popped first window and my man Loire got it for us! I got my share of the claim too, lol.

We claimed with only 9 people present.

Around 80% the rest of our guys came, all 3 of them, lol.

I know what you are thinking. I can hear your loud mouth brain, "oh get to the drops already." You clicked on my blog and I should show you the drops now? Well Fuck you very much here they are.

At first I was like, woah woah woah wait a second only 3 Fire Crystals dropped? That can't be right. A split second later the saw everything else load up on my screen. No Ridill though :( but lookie what we have here, Neptunal Abjuration: head.

I got the N. Head. Although I think a some others may have benefited from this more than me, but they were not present and Pharanx told me to lot. This is probably one of the few and rare cases of where a Thief got a N. Head before any other N. piece, so I am very grateful to my LS. Thank you AngelKnight for all the hard work.

Proto-Omega #1

Having recently gained access to Al'Taieu access I joined a Limbus Linkshell, "UlimaUndressers(UU)." Thursday was my first run with them and we did the Proto-Omega fight.

Fight wasn't bad at all. Everyone who could, slept to 300% TP for Spirits Within. I did my part, but kinda screwed it up. lol. I'm such a noob.

A stack of Sleep pots down the drain. I'll get the bastard next time...

The fight itself was fun, not that exciting or challenging though. I hear Ultima is much harder so I am looking forward to that.

I really like limbus. It is fun to do, it is short and the rewards are outstanding. SE has really done a great job with it as compared to Dynamis. You can spend a year in Dynamis and not even see a particular AF2. Looking forward to more Limbus action and UU, they seem to be a good bunch of folks.

I had this PT the other day with this guy who'll remain anonymous. He was the PT leader and our Ninja. He wasn't a bad ninja at all. It was just that he would loose focus of what was going on in the PT because of things like his linkshell "is talking about underage sex." Towards the end of the Party it happened again and I called him out on it. Very funny to try to watch him make himself look like the truthful guy. Notice he's just randomly pressing his TP macro without even looking at what is going on.

I am sorry for the lack of updates for the past week or so. The truth is nothing worthwhile has been going on. I got Black Mage to level 44 last night. Went from 41->44. Thanks to my good friend Raijun for the excellent party
I've progressed in COP very well. We got Sea access last week. It was very fun. I just have the PM8-3 and 8-4 left to do and then I get my Raja's Ring.

Mamets
This was a fun fight. There were 5 of these against us all. Not a bad fight at all. Just keep them out of BLM form and you're golden.

Omega
I was on bard and provided March and Mambo to our tank. It was cake. We used 3 CCBs at 60% 40% and 20%. No problems at all. It was like cheating

Ultima
This one was a little harder than Omega. He had some nasty moves, but still we used the same strategy. Mambo&March on the NInja and CCBs at 60%, 40% and 20% HP.

I want to try these fights in the future again, but with a PLD tank and using not as many CCBs. That should be a better challenge and more fun. Seemed like we breezed through that BC very easily.

After the fight. Bahamut went ape shit and tried to kill us all with Mega Flare.

Tenzen saved everyone by absorbing the damage via his Samurai Sword. But it changed him and we would go ahead and fight in Chapter 7 of COP. Ofcourse we beat his ass.

Next up...

Which threw you in a strange place called "Al'Taieu." Also known as Sea. It is truly amazing to step foot there for the first time. It is kind of like Sky, most things don't aggro and the terrain is very nicely done.

Mission 8-1 is simply getting access to "Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi" via a bunch of pop ??? NM fights. PM8-2 was really a bitch. It took us like 4 hours to do it. Total pain in the ass and if things couldn't get any worse guess who came out looking for revenge because we were killing all the pots, Jailer of temperance lol. It was very funny. We died, but got right back up and kept moving.

Next week is 8-3 and hopefully we can kill the Final Boss the same day as well.

Sky Exp. PT

So I was getting ready to go to Gustav Tunnel last night to join my LS mates for some skill ups and Hobow NM when I get a Blind invite. I usually don't take blind invites, but I was like what the hell let me laugh at this noob.

What could become of this PT? To start it off, DEATH. Blazeofnoob vokes Despot on the way to camp. Crosis our Healer was far away. So I was stuck there with like 150MP left to cure them all . Way to go Blaze... XD

After that 'incident' our PT turned out to be pretty good. Thanks to Crosis I've just about mastered the main deco weapon camp. Good tips. Hadn't exped on Bard for a while now so it was very fun, especially getting away from TAOU areas. Something tells me I'll be PTing with him the future, damn 71NIN. lol

So Nidhogg popped today, first window. We had only 6 people there. I am glad it popped when it did, would have been a total waste of time camping it with such a small turn out. I don't know who got it or what dropped. Congrats to them.

Goodbye my Friend

This post is dedicated to the ex-Leader of "VanadielFamily" Linkshell, Aluveru. I joined this Linkshell in the middle of 2005. I was the only English person in the shell. Everyone was Japanese, but that did that matter at all. Everyone was very nice and treated everyone with respect and we had A LOT OF FUN.

Aluveru knew how to run the linkshell and truly made it a family atmosphere. Back when I had no Sky or HNM Linkshell I would really look forward to his Weekend events. They were fun and helpful in getting everyone what they wanted. In this Linkshell I killed my first HNM, Simugrah.

I will truly miss you my friend. I wish in the future you get some time to play again. For now Syonara.

New Blog Idea

I've been thinking about doing for a while now, but was having problems figuring out how I'd do it. "Quetzy Interviews." I'd speak with different kinds of people on the server and interview them. For example, interview with different End-Game Linkshell leaders. See how their thoughts are different and similar. Interview with a qcdn mod, interview with a random player, etc.

For my first part I am thinking about interviewing a few End Game LS leaders. Maybe some will refuse, who knows, but sounds like fun. My request to everyone is help in generating questions, after all it is you who will be reading. What kind questions would you like to have answered? Any other suggestions or thoughts would be much appreciated as this is a new thing for me.

We're Famous!

I've been progressing very well on COP. Players from my static are very skillful and competent. We've tore through all of the Three Paths BC fights.

First up were the Moblins. (1/1)

Party Setup: Zethren:BRD/WHM, Jediknight: MNK/NIN, Maxzz:NIN/WAR, Sdavtaker:THF/NIN, Zanderheizen:WHM/BLM, Dragod:BLM/WHM

This BC was not that hard. The thing about this BC is that there are 4 Moblins and 1 Bugbear. We had out THF kite the Bugbear. Our Nin took on 2 moblins, the MNK took on one and the fourth one we just bound or I kited around a bit.

Second Mithra Trackers (1/1)

Party Setup: Zethren:BRD/WHM, Jediknight: PLD/WAR, Maxzz:NIN/WAR, Sdavtaker:WHM/BLM, Zanderheizen:BLM/WHM, Dragod:BLM/WHM

Now this BC was hard. Most people do this with the SMN or BLM burn. We faught these staright up. These guys are a pain and they inflict a lot of damage when they do their Darkness skillchain. We started off with killing the BST and her Pet and then proceded to wipe. We RRed back up, recovered and killed the rest. Wiping on purpose was a great idea. It guaranteed us "starting the BC" type of situation, but with only 2 Mithras left and one Wyren.

A few things to note about this BC. Yes the Mithras and their pets are sleepable, but the Mithras themselves quickly become resistant to sleep. The pets however you can keep on sleeping over and over. Although I think they develop some resists where don't stay asleep for as long, but you can still sleep em. Oh yes and you don't have to have the pet or the dragon dead to win the BC.

The unMighty Snoll Tzar! (1/1)

Party Setup: Zethren:THF/DRK, Jediknight:PLD/WAR, Maxzz:WAR/NIN, Sdavtaker:WHM/BLM, Zanderheizen:RNG/WAR, Dragod:BLM/WHM

Most COP parties seem to flunk at this fight their first try. However, we did outstanding. You have 45 seconds to do 8000-9000HP worth of damage to the snoll. You can use a special salt to give you 15 seconds each. We used 2 salts, it died as I was getting ready to use the third. I found this fight to be very easy. Heck easier than the Tracker battle.

People told me over and over again that a THF is not that great for this fight. Bent on proving them wrong. A THF can be very effective for this provided. Heck in this case as effective as a WAR..YES A WAR. See for yourself.

Went in, used SATA, Soul Eater, Last Resort, Hide and popped a SATA on the TANK. During this the WHm used a salt. After he was done, the PLD popped his 2hr and started to use his salt. And we just beat him down during and after that. I didn't even get to finish using my salt. I am I sure I could have done better damage on that SATA with better gear. I couldn't find any DEX rings so I used STR and a NQ Darksteel Kukri.

I told everyone that if we go 1/1 on this fight we're going to be famous. As soon as the fight ends Sda yells, "WE'RE FAMOUS!" hahaha...

I am veyr proud of my COP team. Everyone did a great job. I hope our sucess and fame continues when we do the airship battle next week. Oh yeah, I forgot to meantion...You can't have a BC without Zander Dying now can you?

After that I did all of the CS and took pictures of some nice moments.

No Claims for us this weekend. Kaizen got Nidhogg today. Grats to them. Drop was a A. body.
I fininshed Dark Knight Subjob over the weekend. I got into a really nice PT which took me to level 41. I won't be touching this for a while now.
So far I have the following subs done
Mage: WHM,BLM,SMN
Melee: WAR,NIN,SAM,DRK,THF

I am pretty much done with the subs that I really want to have. There is only one sub that is really left for me to level and that is RDM and maybe RNG(MAYBE).

Currently working on getting BLM to 75. Hopefully it will be done in 2-3 months. Then I'll go back and finish up WAR(47 atm). After that go on a Merit Frenzy and spend like a month or so Maxing out Merits for everything. Good Plan, ja? Haha.

What the hell is she doing I think to myself, where the hell is she going? Not long after I see a couple of Darters running after her...I put my hand on my face, shake my head left and right, "not this again" ;/

It was another fine Saturday in the Arey. Angel Knight was prepping for the 6th day and a very high chance of a HQ King popping.

Ofcourse Nidhogg did pop. We had like 15 members there when we claimed. Even without a full alliance we did very well. We brought it down under 50% before the rest of our members came(Stupid Dynamis, I skipped mines though. shhhh...Don't tell Daveman).

Toasty

Everything was going very well. It went down to 10% or so and the rest of our members were there. We were doing great, but Nidhogg goes ape shit and Wings 2-3 times back to back. I've herd of people in other Linkshells going to red HP even.

Not that bad. We recovered fine, but something happens. One of our Paladins, bent on not breaking Angel Knight tradition missvokes a Darter.

We do out very best to take control over the changed situation. Sleep, timed nukes, sleep, nukes, etc. We managed to take down most of the darters. I belive in the end there were 1-2 left, but we simply ran out of time and Nidhogg went Hyper. That was the end of that for us. Perse got it next while it was still in Hyper. Then Kaizen and then finally JDA killed it(I belive it went regular for them).

I was very annoyed at first. Pissed...How come something like this happen[again] ? I can understand during the pop while trying to voke the NM you voke something else, but towards the end of the fight? But after a couple of days I realized hey mistakes happen. There is no sense in feeling bad and angry over something like this. There are way too many problems in life to feel sad about. The last thing a person should feel angry about is over a Video Game.

One of these days, we'll show everybody that Angel Knight doesn't only kills Nidhogg, but exps on Darters at the same time as well.

Sunday morning Fafnir was the the most Insane camp that I ever have been to. I was there from around 1:00AM EST to around 5:30AM EST. Sleep deprived, tired and having to wake up 8:00AM I still kept on pushing. Finally the bastard popped 5th. Window.

SweetBlueBerry, a I also belive this was their first or second Fafnir Claim, I could be wrong. They some mistakes, but I won't go into they did this wrong and that wrong and things like that. The bottom line was that they couldn't kill it in the 1 hour time frame before Fafnir went Hyper. They did give it their all and tried their best. I am sure their next Fafnir will be a kill.

So, Fafnir goes hyper and everyone is trying to get claim, lol I don't know why. JDA gets it, but they go down fast.

During the time we were rushing to get back JDA(Integrails) Calls For Help. The bastads made their move to stall it until they re-assembled. Well we get there and we're ready for the CFH to go away.

Boshi is in the pit skating around thinking he is Sarah Huges trying to claim it for us as soon as it goes yellow, but he get aggroed and falls ; ;

It regens to full and goes Yellow and JDA, YES JDA gets the claim. At that point I knew we didn't have any more chances of getting claim so I hit the sack at like ~5:30AM only to wake up at 8:00AM for RL obligations. It was a crazy morning, will I do it again? Hell Yes!

Completion

Finally did it. After such a long time I finally Hit 75 on my Thief. Thief was my first job when I started on this server a couple of years ago. It had always been tough getting Parties. Most of the time I was making my own parties. New exp areas really boosted my experience points. Buffalo Ticket Parties were great high 60s low 70s.

My PT was a great too. We did up to chain 25 a few times without bard, without Rdm. Thanks Kris for the invite.

Ouryu Overwhelmer!!11!one

The much looked forward to Ouryu fight finally happened! I missed the last one, but we didn't win it anyway. We didn't quite wipe, but ran out of time. This one we did great and finished it in 45 minutes. Record is 28 minutes.

Every Linkshell has one of these guys. The one guy who never brings oils or powders. Who always gets aggro from things that don't even aggro. The one who you have to waste so much time giving raise after rasie after raise. Getting to the camp is like climbing Mount Everest for them. Yeah we have one of those in our shell, but we still love him. :D (Note:Sorry images got resized somehow, That is DEMIR)

The thing about Ouryu is that he is Earth based. So no light Skillchain, blast him with Burst and Thunder. (Edit:Looks like Valkyrs[on their ouryu fight] did do light Skillchain and they Burst with Aero and it worked alright). We had a simple skillchain going, Distortion. Even then the MB from that wasn't the main sourse of damage. Basically just nuke the damn thing down while controling the elements and worms around you. It is a very fun fight. Most intese fight I've done so far. It's like a freaking Warzone, shit coming at you from all directions. EXTREMELY FUN!

At 1% it Breakga'ed us. And then all shit broke loose. The worms finally made their move and got some nice damage on us(StonegaIII) and I think Ouryu got one on us as well.

I want to give thanks to my kick ass linkshell for doing this fight. It was some of the best times I've had playing this game. Finally!

Angel Knight finally got a claim on Fafnir. This is the second one in two months. I am happy for for that, but what what sucks is that I haven't faught(i.e. put my lips on a horn and blow) Fafnir in 2 months. I missed both of them.

TaRuTaRus Take Over The Arey! ('-'/)/

What fun today in the Arey. ShadowShip got the claim and they took it down pretty fast. The did some things that normally some LS don't do to Fafnir, which is DOT it. About 15 mins for the kill. BLM POWER at its best. Congrats. Speaking to Mizukj, they got Aegisj, A. feet, Andrs. Good job guys!

Recently I've been putting on as much HP as possible on my Bard for Spirits Within on Fafnir and other NMs. It is a good damage bonus from someone who usually doesn't do damage(in technical terms). Most Linkshells have 1-2 bards atleast present on camps and a Spirits Within from both of them can yield close if not more damage than a Burst II.

I hope more bards start to explore this. I hardly if ever see other bards build TO for Spirits in the Arey. Right now I am close to 1400 HP. I can break 1400+ easily, but 1500 will be hard without spending a good amount of cash(which as you can see something I am short on). Merits will definty help me on this, but I haven't been PTing on Bard much until this weekend. Getting 1600+ will be my ultimate goal! :D

So Everyone has been "raising" Chocos and I decided to try it out. I had one of the ex eggs from the ISBC for a while now. Finally the thing hatched.

WHITENESS!

I've been leveling my BLM with Neo's DRK lately. It has been very fun. BLM is a very enjoyable job. I just want to MB anything. MB MB MB. Give me Scission, I'll MB it. Even if you do it by mistake. So thinking ahead I decided to start camping Centurio X-I which drops Stonega II, Quake, and most importantly Shaman's Cloak.

A little tip for anyone who is camping this NM. Go there kill the Place Holder(Antican Signifer) a few times and thats it. If it pops after killing the Signifer 3-5 times good, otherwise come back another time. I think that is the easiest way to camp this guy without killing yourself. He is pretty easy at 74, just need to keep your Hit Points up otherwise his Ga can and will kill you. Oh yeah DO NOT forget to bring some Echo Drops and you can't sleep him. I dunno about Silence.

Lucky for me I went 1/1 on the Cloak. I think Sucker Neo was like 0/14 on him. Laff!! I still have to go back to get the scrolls though.

Did some KS30s last night with the Everlost 'Carnels'. Drops were ok, but we got the main thing that we wanted, Destriers! Congrats to Cowie on them. He has done the KS30 battles so many time and has been very unlucky. Before we went in Rhada showed played some start up music.

It's ok though. Suprisingly I wasn't really that mad. I don't think its worth fighting with friends, staying angry or holding a grudge aganist friends over little shit like this. ~1M woth of stuff, who cares, whatever. It was a fun night and thats what matters.

Finally Friday is here. I haven't faught Fafykins in such a long time(3 weeks, hehe). Hope we get claim.

I've recently changed my gear around. Stopped using Sha'ir legs and hands. Going back to AF1 Hands and Legs and trying to put on as much +skill equipments as possible. I want to see for MYSELF how of a difference it will make on Fafnir. I am still a bit uncertin whether to go with AF2 hands(+3 Wind Skill) or AF1 Hands(+4 CHR & +5 Singing Skill). If anyone has any thought on that I would appreciate it, just leave a comment. For now I am sticking with the AF1 Hands.

Been busy with RL during the weekdays and don't get to play much until after 9pm these days so I am taking a break from Sky for a bit. It's cool, I am having fun in RL

During my weekday playtime I have mostly been working on subjobs. SMN is done(lv40 too, my fav. lvl to stop, 37 is not so good for lv40 cap stuff ;p) and SAM is 32. Will be 33 tonight for sure. For this one I will probably stop as 37, as I have a couple other Melee jobs which I can use for Cap stuff.

I hate Karma

Looks like the universe was trying to balance out things, we went 0/2 on claims this weekend(last week 2/2). Today JDA got claim. Fastest claim I've ever seen. Almost looked like it popped purple ;P. The fight was very fast, I think 12 mintues or so. The drops were nothing less than amazing, N. Head, Bread, and everyone's love Ridill. The Ridill went to my good friend Kalendor. BRAVO buddy BRAVO.

Everyone was Excited this morning as we weree expecting a Nid. Angle Knight, Noble Knights, Purpose, Perseverence and HNMPT were all there. Nid pops first window. I don't think anyone was ready for it. It stays yellow on my screen for the LONGEST TIME. My God, I have never seen a NM stay yellow for this long in such a crowded place.

Finally Perseverence gets it. I don't think they had enough people, but they were holding it pretty well. But they do something which I think was very disapointing. They teamed up with Genesis Union to kill it. Now they can team up with whoever they like, its their mob, thats right. But really I didn't understand why'd they have to team up with slime of slime, LS that MPKs everyone if they don't claim.

I guess they did what they had to. Congrats to them on the kill. The fight took just about an hour, any longer and it would have gone hyper. It dropped a E. Body. Would have been cool if it had gone to perseverence rather than GU. Good luck guys in the future!

MPK GALORE!!!

I was near the end of Dynamis Jeuno when Kenji sent me a /tell to /sea Korroloka Tunnel, HOLE COW CRAP! There were so many Gilsellers there it wasn't even funny. I decided to have a little "fun" with them. As soon as Dynamis ended I rushed to the Tunnel.

I remember Dowzer MPKing them with a Jammer Leech. I used his idea(Thanks Dowzer). I wasn't sure if he did it with one or more so I just brought all three. I could have just zoned to avoid death, but I didn't want to give them any time to run away.

One got away though. Bastard.

I didn't get as many as I wanted to. There were still many there. I think the rest were at the other side of the tunnel. After they died they all just HPed. Very easy way of getting the SOBs. Even right now they are still in the Tunnel. Come on people GO GO GO!!!!

ISBC(Imperial Standing Burning Circle)

I did three of these the other night and they were very fun. Basically there are two(For the Jade atleast) that you can do, lv60 cap and uncapped. We did the 60 cap. The orb(Confidential Orders) requires 2,000 Imperial Standing.

The drops are pretty good. I think Chocobo egg drops 100%(we got 2/2) or very often. Other things that you can get include ore(we got some Adaman), scrolls(AM, Elegy, etc.) and misc medcines, lastly you can get some nice new gear. As for the uncapped one, I'm not sure what can drop from them, but I've read people getting Khroma ore and Dragon Talons. This will surely bring the wisket price down.

The lv60 capped fight involves a Colbari. It's not that hard of a fight. What you have to make sure to do is stay within its AOE. Tt uses Charm(AOE) and if one peoson doesn't get charmed he will die.

The first one we died and the other two went very well(we did some job changes and workout a few kinks, i.e. use CURE). It was a blast. I wish I could have done more, but some people had to go. I'd say the most fun moment was when Baja DCed in the middle and came back on while we were all charmed.You can see her running for her life here, but doesn't get very far, lol.

Sunday Fafnir!
We are smoking this weekend. Been very lucky, got him both Saturday and Sunday. I guess only us and the LS Noble Knights(We are NOT related) camping had a lot to do with it. :p
I was a little disappointed because no one provoked a Darter :(

Ero man RXKEN!

A friend of mine, Rxken is leveling Blue Mage and was having a hard time learning Healing Breeze. I joined them in Bubu.(They had no luck Altep). I suggested that Rily and I go Hand to Hand, feed the mob TP while doing the least amount of damage.

Our Plan worked and soon enough the Elve...err I mean Dhamel used Healing Breeze and Ken got it. Our good friend Siamese also came to join the fun ^^

Then Rxken and I hit up Valkrum Dunes so he could learn Sheep Song. This guy is on fire and learned it very fast.

I super PLed(sing songs and disband) him a bit after that and he cut through the Sheep and Bunnies like there was no tomorrow.

It was a fun morning. Rxken started to express some of his "inner" feelings.

Saturday Fafnir
Rhada claims and ofcourse we can't break the "Angel Knight Traditon." Another member also vokes a darter and it links everything. Now, we have experience on how to deal with these house flies and we deal with 'em very well. Even ironed out some kinks after the fight. It'll be the day when we claim Nid, darters and come out on top(last time we didn't). But I am glad we are able to deal with the adds very well. It is still something to be very proud of.

This post is dedicated to my three good friend who have quit the game in the past couple of weeks. Thuron, man it was always fun to hang with you. Making jokes with you(haha, I have to say this. Remember that time when you hit the warp button when nuking during that BCNM? LMAO). You make Everlost come alive.

Tearah, you are very sweet, very kind and always helpful. Going to miss the warmth that you brought to the shell. Keichii, well you just plan suck. I've known you for a few months at the most and it has felt like I've known you for years. We connected very fast and very well. It was very fun leveling and messing around.

This new update simple ROCKS. I am a THF and the new daggers...SPEECHLESS!!!
First thing I did when I logged in was spend(BLOW) 3 Merits on the Bard Ability: Trobulator.
"Enhance song by 1.5x my ass" All it does is increase the DURATION of the song. I suppose that has its uses, but I was very disappointed. I was expecting it to increase it kinda like Soul Voice. Now that would kick ass, a mini soulvoice every 10 minutes(fully merited).
Tried to merit with some friends and ALL CAMPS WERE PACKED. Hell people were meriting in the Range, who the hell merits there anymore. Thats how bad it was.

Ending the week very nicely. Sunday, we claim Fafnir. He's been pretty stubborn this weekend with pops, popping always either 5th or 6th window.

It got a little Hurricane wing happy at around 20-25%. Never the less he went down. Drops weren't anything that would make one jump up and down like a monkey ;/

This is my 4th Fafnir kill with the shell now.

Saturday Night Invictus hit up Xarc. Drops were good. We got a few drops from normal mobs. We also got to see Zylia wet her pants when she got our third pair of Assasin's Armlets. Was a fun run overall.

Today was a fantastic day. Forget yesterday's Nidhogg screw up. Yes, today we have a screw up, but we pulled out that sucker nail with our Angel size Crow Bar.
Fafnir pops and we claim, BUT one of our guys soo anxious and determined to get a claim, clames a darter, lol. But lucky for him Darters only come in a 6 pack. So here we are with fafnir, and a shit load of Darters.

A few members died and I thought that this was it. Another wipe due to darters.

But the Shell learned from the last darter link how to deal with these annoying little bugs. GA Spell STYLE. Diee Bishes

One left and he hits the floor. HARD.

With Darters out of the way we're back on track. This has to be one of the best Darter realted recoveries ever. Really smooth guys, you rock.

Took us a while, we only had one Skillchain going. But it was all worth it because....

Today was probably one of the most unpleasent days of FFXI playtime history. It started out great, we claimed Nidhogg. We get things rolling. I am hyped, Psyched and dyked(w/e this means) and we're doing just fine...
But in the end we pulled a Dow Jones and just crashed. :(
One of our team mates provoked a Dater and eventually it linked evrything. I don't care what anyone says, I have full confidence that we can take down Nidhogg, we have done it before. One of our Paladins has a M. Body. We need to be very careful next time and focus more, I am certin our next Nidhogg will go smooth.

After we wiped, Perseverence LS claimed and later they wipe as well. I think it went Hyper on them. That's what I herd.

Finally JDA comes in and gets the kill. They only got N. Legs though.

Next up was a very nice LS event with my JP social shell(A good bunch of people, I just wish I knew some Japanese). This weekend has been pretty busy. Starting off with an early morning Behemot camp, it pops and we claim the sucker, but Mr. Behemot wasn't very nice to us and only dropped this. :(

We dashed to the Arey because Fafnir window was going to be open very soon, but he pops during first window before we could all get there and NobleKnights gets the claim. Congrats to them.

Next I get a little desert action. My friend Excalibur said Dune Boots NM was up, he needed the boots. I go to help and we win the fight easily. Congrats Excalibur ^^.

I haven't been on Rose Garden camp in a while now, letting Aznable have all the fun. Last time I checked was 0/4. I haven't seen him in the jungle for a few days now, maybe he gave up or got to drop. I hope he got it. I'll have to talk to him.
Helped camp Kreutzet for friend the other day. This guy is such a pain and pops only during wind weather when it's window is open. We didn't get the claim and the other team didn't get the drop. Good luck next time Kris. I need to get this knife too, I'm sure a certain nin I know will be more than happy to tank this for me. ~.^

We were on the way to our weekly ENM run when we met up with JDA killing Tiamat, I wish I could have stuck around a bit more to watch, I want to kill this bad ass dragon one day!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been pretty busy (read lazy), rushing to finish THF and all. Currently 73 ^^
A lot of things have happened in the last week or so. We got got Fafnir claim and kill 6/24/06.

This was my first Fafnir kill and it was the best NM/HNM fight that I've done so far. It was awesome, the sheer beauty of the LS working together to bring this beast down. We did it in about 25 mins and without any deaths. It was great, I got my little title.

Congrats to Rhada on the N. Head and MJ on the Andvaranauts.
I hope we kick ass this weekend as well.

Kings have been a bit stagnet for us lately, haven't been able to get a claim for a while now. :( I think I have enough fafnir pics already lol so none of those this week. Due to a unstable internet connection(finally got cable today, dsl sucks) I haven't been at Rose Garden camp for a few days now.
Tonight Invictus was in Xarcabard again. We've been hitting it up a lot now and keep getting better and better. The last couple of runs provided smooth farming with 0 wipes. Getting the win should be close now. We got some very nice AFs tonight as well as a 100coin(Congrats to Zylia on that).

Congratulations to Marx(SMN), Aloo(DRK), Johnnyb(NIN) on the AFs tonight.

Rose Garden all day all night, all time, everytime. I got Rose Garden again last night, but again he wasn't very nice to me. I have new competition now. Two guys, no worries I'll outlast them.

So, I'm 0/2 on him now. I hope it drops soon and I don't wind up like that guy on KI who was like 1/21.

This morning I get to the camp expecting a pop very soon. The same two guys are still there and one guy isn't afk and the other is is /follow on Overgrown Rose. No Problem. I don't know why, but I start to kill some Bees in the area. As soon as I get done I am recasting Utusumi Rose Garden Pops!!! It takes 1-2 seconds for the Aznable to realize and he claims with dia. I was right next to it and I could have beat him with Mug/Steal. I learned a hard lesson today, don't play around at NM camps. I'll never make that mistake again.

I /cheered him on and in the end he didn't get the drop. Which sucks for me because he'll be back again.

I couldn't get to yesterday's Fafnir camp due to work, but I herd Nobleknights got it. And Guess what they got it again today too :( Managed to take some nice shots. Congrats to them.

Also had some fun with Garuda Prime today. Ryukage was afraid of tanking Garuda at first, but steped up the plate. He is a WAR/NIN and shivers at the tought of tanking. We won the fight, but its not a fight until Zethren dies!!

Invictus was in Sandoria today. Smooth run. Got some nice AFs

I've been camping Rose Garden for a few days now. Some dinkle berry always manages to come along and kill a PH. When I got home from work last night same thing, however I get the TOD and return early in the morning. Thinking someone prollyed killed it, but couldn't hurt to check. I get there and BAM! My little flower is blooming.

0/1 on him now. It is a rare drop, I wasn't expecting a 1/1. Fought as 67THF/NIN. He missed like hell, but when he hit me it was for 60+. Bloody and sleep Bolts really helped. I think I could have took him down without them if I'd have kept Utusumi up, lazy I know, but I was uhhh ahmm..tessting his acccuracy.

On another note a sad day today. The leader of my linkshell /breaklinkshell. :( It was fun to have a linkshell named after yourself. I've been good friends with a JP named Kenjikamikaze for a while now and when he left Vana'diel family he made his own LS "Zethren." At first it I thought it was a joke, but it was serious. Him and his BST buddies usually hung out there. And during JP prime you would always find atleast 2 people on. Maybe if I had spent more time with them things would have been different. I think his new LS is called Earth Crusher.

Last night we went back to Dynamis Xarcabard to settle some old scores. Our last run there was a disaster. We lost about 30 minutes in the beginning (no second extension either) and got zero AF. Last night however everything went very well. We got the first two extensions without any wipes. We came out with some interesting pieces.

When we were fighting the BRD NM and it's HP was at like 1%. This happens.

She's right I almost did shit myself. Damn that Cherron he got me good. Wish it did drop though.

Friday (June 2nd.) comes around and we are off to Fafnir. The window was in NA prime time so there were sooo many people there(maybe 150+). This was the first time I've been to Dragon's Arey. I never thought it would be such a small place.

Fafnir pops and I becuase of the lag I can bearly see him. I reposition and there's it is. Purpose LS claims. They do a good job and get the kill. Too bad they got shit drops. A. hands and Scales. Best of luck next time Jamal.

Around 3AM Behemot window is open. So after a quick nap I head on over to the Dominion. Stupid Gilsellers get claim :(

I recently joined a a HNMLS called AngelKnight. I didn't know much about them except that my good buddies from Everlost LS, Rhadamanthas, Demir, Kensou, and Hyre were in it and that was good enough for me.

It turns out most of the members in the shell are JP. Now I am in another JP shell, VanadielFamily. Good fun and good people, but there is always the communication issue so I was a bit worried. The leader and many others seem to be good in English so I don't think there will be any communication problems. There is this one sick dude who I like already, Meija(Rhada calls him MJ to annoy him). This guy is sooo funny. I learned another useful JP word from him, Kuso(Shit). Arigatou MJ!

A little history...

I started this game back when it was released. I didn't know anything about it(I haven't played any FF games in the past either). A good friend of mine introduced me to it. We started on Bahamut server. He was a THF and I a WAR. A couple of weeks down the road he quit the game because "this wasn't like other FF games," whatever that means. I enjoyed the game.

I joined my first LS, ChoasElement. I was recruited by a good friend of mine who I still talk to today, Ziegus. I got my WAR up to 30 and decided to play ranger because I liked the whole idea of ranged weapons. RNGs were kick ass, out DDing everyone was awesome.

I made a lot of friends on Bahamut, many JPs like Huuka, Silverback, Ryubi and few others who's names I cannot remember. Huuka was my first JP friend, she was really sweet and nice. I remember she crafted me a Bee Spatha +1 as a present. I've lost contact with her though. (Note to self Look up Huuka) .

The path of Ranger wasn't that easy. I was contasntly falling behind my friends in terms of leveling because I was out farming for ranger consumables. I also picked up a little craft called Goldsmithing. I had no idea what I was in for. I finally hit 30 on ranger and got my Zamburak +1. I think I was one of the first NAs to use this beauty. With Holy Bolts, this thing was pure ownage. I picked up another craft, woodworking so I could make my own arrows/bolts. My money dwindled.

After falling behind all my friends and I got annoyed and took off from the game. Probably never to return. Ofcourse they always come back.

Seven or Eight months pass and I started to look to return to the game. I was going to go back to Bahamut, until I found out that a RL friend of mine was playing on Quetzy and I joined him with his Linkshell, Everlost. Voltorb is an awesome guy. He started me off with 50K some low lvl gear and I was off.

I started with WAR and then moved on to THF. THF was really fun, although PT invites weren't that great(they sucked). I found a little pass time while seeking for PT, fishing. It made the time go faster and I made some money in the process. Upon reaching lv53 or so due to RL events I took a break from the game for a while.

I returned in early September, 2005. Sick of the lack of PT invites I decided to play BRD. I found BRD to be really enjoying , as much as THF infact. Later on when I got to my 70s, cannon PT were and still are very fun. I love pulling and dying, lol.

I started Endgame in June 2006 and the saga begins.
